Union Station
Union Station was originally opened in 1914 and served as one of the busiest train stations in the United States during the height of rail travel. It is known for its grand arches, massive halls, and ornate ceilings. After the decline of rail traffic in the 1950’s Union Station took a backseat to Kansas City tourism. During the 1990’s it underwent massive renovations to restore the building to its historic beauty. Union Station is now an iconic symbol of Kansas City with over 100 years of history. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the iconic Grand Plaza!

TRAVEL
Kansas City International Airport
If you are flying into Kansas City International Airport (MCI), it is a quick 20-25 minute drive to the heart of Kansas City. Ubers and Lyfts are usually plentiful and you won’t have to wait long for transportation to your hotel. We recommend staying in downtown Kanas City where you will be close to the weekend festivities.

The Big 12 Basketball Championships will be held in downtown Kansas City from March 10-14, 2026. Due to this, we recommend booking flights and hotel early. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!

This hotel is modern with iconic views of downtown Kansas City. It is walking distance to some of the best restaurants, bars, and entertainment our city has to offer. If venturing out isn’t your thing, the Loews is home to a gorgeous restaurant and bar called, The Stilwell.
We have a room block for Loews Hotel. There will be complimentary transportation back to this hotel at the end of the night.
